Caring Fields

Caring Fields, a 23-acre animal sanctuary in Palm City, Florida, is owned and managed by the Pegasus Foundation.  The mission of Caring Fields is to provide a safe place for the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of equines and cats in need, and through education, to promote a more compassionate world.

Caring Fields, which serves as a corridor for local wildlife, is designated as a wildlife sanctuary by the Humane Society of the United States Wildlife Land Trust. The Caring Fields Animal Sanctuary has established guiding principles that reflect an overall philosophy that all forms of life warrant compassion and respect, and that human beings must strive for a world that is humane for all living things.

Companion Animal Memorial Bricks Available
Caring Fields has established a memorial brick patio for companion animals. People wishing to honor the memory of their companion animals are invited to make a donation for a brick engraved with their animal’s name and a message to be placed in the memorial patio at the Caring Fields Education Center in Palm City, Florida or in their own setting.  Donations will support the mission of Caring Fields, which is to provide a safe place for the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of equines and cats in need; and through education, promote a more compassionate world.  Learn more: www.caringfields.org

Kitty lovers filled the Education Center at Caring Fields Animal Sanctuary to support the 2nd Annual Hobe Sound Animal Protection League Baby Shower.  Many were searching for that special kitten to warm their hearts, some coming to see the facility for the first time, and some to support the efforts of HSAPL.  At the end of the day 11 beautiful kittens found their forever homes.  Every attendee brought a gift for the cats and kittens in HSAPL's care, which generously amounted to 100 cans of kitten food, 392 cans of adult food, 215 pounds of dry food, 193 pounds of clumping litter, and several toys, throw, beds, and Advantage flea treatment.  There were also over $4,000 in donations that will go toward the needs of the cats and kittens in care of HSAPL as well as the spay and neuter program, Operation Catsnip.
